Boston Outdoor Kitchen is a design-build studio focused exclusively on outdoor culinary architecture. We take on a limited number of projects each year so the founder is on every site.
We started in a Somerville garage, building one pizza oven for a friend who refused to settle for a kit. Word travelled. A decade later we design and build complete outdoor kitchens across Massachusetts — and the standard has not moved an inch.
Every kitchen we build has to survive a New England winter, a humid Cape Cod August, and the enthusiasm of a host who learned to cook on live fire. So we choose materials that age well, appliances that can be serviced for decades, and details that read as quietly considered rather than catalogue-ordered.
We are licensed and fully insured in Massachusetts. We pull our own permits. We do not subcontract design, project management, or stone work — those are the parts that determine whether a kitchen feels like an heirloom or a renovation.
